Greetings experts.
I just downloaded IIS 11.7, and tried to install it on a windows server 2012 environment, but at ISES (Information Server Enterprise search) installation step, the installation program asks for an Red Hat host to install it.
My questions are:
1 - Is now mandatory to have more than one server to run all IIS products? Can I install both IIS and ISES on the same host?
2- ISES can be installed only on a Red Hat Server?
3- Without ISES, will IA and IGC be completely disabled?
3- Can someone who already installed this new version share some details on how it was done?
Thanks in advance.

Enterprise Search is a new component in 11.7 and it only runs on a Red Hat environment using a Docker download from Passport Advantage so the software is all pre-installed. I believe this is because of the open source components it is built on.
It is an optional component - it adds a web search portal over all your Information Server assets. It replaces the old Data Explorer from previous releases that wasn't widely used because it was hard to install and configure. There are still good search and browse tools in IGC and Information Analyzer.
The Enterprise Search component also adds some of the machine learning automation components to Information Analyzer.

According to one of my IBM contacts - Enterprise Search is currently only available as a Linux container but will be available on Windows and Unix at a later date. There will be an Information Server 11.7 upgrade package also available in Feb for in place upgrades from 11.5.
