Can anyone heard anything plans to ditch CPU based licensing in future versions of the Ascential suite? It seems to be an incumberance to SOA and grid computing that Ascential are trying to push.
Michael Curry, Ascential senior manager in product marketing, has a blog on SOA - http://blogs.ascential.com/soa/
His October Google v Microsoft message has a link to an article titled "Per-CPU Pricing is B.A.D." which concludes "I am completely at a loss to think of a single software scenario where per-CPU pricing is rational or defensible."

It's a bold move to publish a link to an article that attacks your company's main revenue stream!
