Read-only browsing of jobs

I would like to be able to open a locked job read-only. At the very least, when job is locked by someone else I wish Datastage would recognise it quickly, warn you and then let you carry on instead of locking up the screen for a minute or more.

I have always found this annoying. When the Designer finds the job is locked it goes to the open job screen, it seems to spend a lot of time retrieving the latest list of jobs from the repository to service the open job form and this can freeze the designer up for a while.

You must have a fairly slow connection, or a large number of jobs, to experience a full one minute freeze.
