DS Job Schedual
Sure I need help....But who dosent?
What does happen when its sheduled time comes up? Is there anything in the log?
I've seem this happen on two different Unix systems with two different versions of DataStage. What I've seen is the job attempts to start, but you can't tell from looking at the 'Status' view in the Director, you have to drill into the Log. What I find there is one line - the "DS.SCHED: Started at: 02:00:02 04 DEC 2003, directory X JobNumber=X, TraceLevel=0/50, JobInstance=1" entry - and then nothing. The Status view still shows Complete and the previous run date.
Ascential had no clue and it mysteriously went away without me doing anything. Don't know if it's resource related, a roll of the dice or what, but it has been a very rare thing for me. Doesn't really help I know, but sometimes it's good to know you are not alone.
