Compile Multiple Sequence Jobs...

Post by aaronej »

Is this even possible?? I can get the sequence job names and status' in a routine, but I can't find a way to force a compile on these jobs. The 'Compile Multiple Jobs' functionality is nice, but adding sequences to the mix would really help.

Thanks!

I found it funny that the 'multi job compiler' utility provided with DS7 does not compile sequencers :? but it's possible....

There is a CompileAll job writen by Keneth Bland that does the work.

Since his website is no accessible (at list right now) and this link :
http://www.datastagexchange.com/etlarticlelist.php
does not lead you anywhere .... I guess the best way is to ask him for it.

Just get yourself the CompileAll utility if all you need is a GUI compiler that handles everything. As to the DS7 utility, call tech support and have them fix it.

The compiler logic I have I can give out, but if you're on DS7 you should use the functionality supported at that release.

Thanks for the prompt replies. First, would you suggest that I not use the CompileAll utility to compile jobs on DS7? Second, if I can use it on DS7, where can I get it?

Again, thansk for the help.
