Shutdown command for QualityStage

Post by Pablo »

Hi Folks,

Hope this is an easy one...
Does anyone know if there is a specific shutdown command for QualityStage server AND for Qs Real time Manager ?
Or do we have to resort to the Kill command ?

Thanks

Well folks,

Hmmm....
after speaking to Ascential Support, it looks like the QS server is shutdown with the KILL command...

Dare i say it...?? Yes they even suggested the -9 switch..!!

Well...i did ask for a shutdown command to be incorporated into the enhancement wish list... guess we'll wait and see...

BTW, im interested to know if anyone has already written a shell script to do this job..

Cheers
Pablo.

Unfortunately, QS does not have the same functionality as DS's Director, or command line interface for clearing locks or stopping rogue processes.

I have the same issues with ProfileStage. I can only hope that Ascential consolidates that process management to a single, consistent manager. If I were them, I would base it all off DS Director.
