Hello Folks,
I am wondering if anybody can provide some general disk space requirements for the Installation of QualityStage v7.0 on a Solaris platform.
Thanks
Pablo
Disk Space requirements for QualityStage Installation v7.0
Pablo,
That really depends how you are using the product. Will you be running QS stand alone, or are you using it with DataStage?
At bear minimum, QS needs directory space for it's Pattern Files, Classification Files, Reports, etc. However, in general it does not need much space. I can't image needing more than 1/4 to 1/2 a GB.
Now, depending on how you use the product: "Stream Mode" or "File Mode", data may or may not end up on your hard drive. If you plan on using "File Mode" and you have large amounts of data to be standardized, then you will need more file space based on the size of your source files.
In general QS does not use a lot of disk space and it EXTREMELY fast.
You might also want to request the System Requirements from Ascential Tech Support or Sales Support.
