Excel sheet corrupted after attaching in mail

Post by Bassam_Hesham »

Hello,
I have an issue that happened right after restaritng the datastage engine server as excel sheets that are attached in mail arrive corrupted while they are normally opened when downloaded directly from server 'this happened on one project while the other is working normally'

"Corrupted" how, exactly? And are we talking .xls or .xlsx files or a .csv that automatically opens in Excel?

Corrupted as it doesn't open and excel keeps saying it is a corrupted file (xls and xlsx), csv works normally.

Try to ascertain what's different between the two projects. Can you also let us know which stage type you are using to read the Excel worksheets?

Well, that's another question actually. Is DataStage creating the spreadsheets or simply emailing them? And yes, the difference between the two projects (or the jobs in them) is probably key here. Can you clarify that for us, please? The two projects are running identical jobs where one works and one doesn't or do they contain similar jobs?
