Hi, Have manage to solve this password encrypted issue? We are facing the same problem. Currently the DataStage Director will show the password, it is not secured.

you have to set it to encrypted to avoid this. And be aware that developers can hack the password this way with a very simple job.

Split you out to your own post, and since it's been 11 years since you (or at least this userid) has posted here, I had to make a guess as to your particulars. If you could edit your post and update your version (etc) to whatever is current for you, that would be great.

Based on the wording here and the linked post, it would seem they are already using an encrypted password.

Not sure then. We had to carefully encrypt it everywhere, if you miss a place, it pops out in the logs. If you get it working, it shows in the logs as isenc_junkvalue format where the isenc tells you its scrambled. After going through every single job and setting the encryption, it cleared up for us on 11.x
