Exporting and importing Information analyzer rule definition

Post by midmaxds »

We have around 50 Information analyzer rule definitions created, that are being used in datastage jobs.
Now we are in development region.

We want to migrate these rules to QA.
So, we tried to export these "Accepted" rule definitions from console.
Even though the console said exported successfully, there was no file created.

Then we created a copy of that rule ("Canddiate" status), and then exported. The file was created succesfully.

While importing to QA server it says imported succesfully. But rule definiton is missing there.
Googled a bit, but no luck . Please help to identify a feasible approach to migrate only these 50 rules. Thank you.

Never mind.
It was an issue with the user ID used. When tried with admin user, export and import works - but still only for candidate rules. Thank you.

Note that there are two "administrator" roles for Information Analyzer: project administrator and data administrator. They have different allowed activities.
