IA Logs

Post by moalik »

Hi All,

We are carrying out an Data Quality Profiling exercise using Information Analyzer, however facing below issues.

1) IA jobs failed with but nothing in the logs
2) IA jobs completed but no output result.

We are trying to find the log details in the below path:
IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\InfoSphere\logs\server name.

Could you please let me know whether I am missing anything?

Thanks,
Moalik

When you submit jobs, select Retain Scripts.

That having been done you will be able to view job logs using the DataStage Director client.

The only pertinent logs you'll find in the WebSphere environment are SystemOut.log and SystemErr.log, which log ALL activity from Information Server, and might prove difficult to sieve for just the information you require.

Beyond that, you could have an IIS Administrator set up a logging view over Information Analyzer.

Don't forget to set automatic log purge in the ANALYZERPROJECT project.
