authfile option in dsjob

Post by bicap »

we are using 8.7 Windows version; we run jobs through bat files by supplying pass userid & pwd thorugh a file but not encrypted.
I saw there is option in dsjob command like ...
dsjob -authfile
which we can encrypt the password. But it was throwing DSJE_DSJOB_ERROR=-9999.

I used the default encryption thorugh the script under ASBNode\bin;
Sample auth file is like below.
# dsadm credentials
user=xxxxx
password={iisenc}HEf6s6cG+Ee6NdGDQppQNg==
domain=domainname
server=servername

Is there any particular services need to enable or how to make it run ?

Do you have the ports on the domain and server lines as well?

What you have described should work. What specific error message was thrown?
