How Do I Find a DataStage Program Within A Project?

Post by timlind53 »

How do I search for a particular DataStage program/job across all my categories/folders without having to visually search each category/folder?

I tried to search for "Search", "Find", "Locating Program", etc. in the Forums but I get too many results or none at all. Please forgive me if this question has been posted before.

We use DataStage 7.5.3 and Director has a Search menu but it only works on lower level categories/folders which I can search visually anyway. When I select the project folder the Search menu is greyed out.

In Director, you have option to remove the Category view.
i.e., all job in one page. Find works perfectly then.

Or just issue "LIST DS_JOBS {jobname}" in TCL prompt.
Impossible doesn't mean 'it is not possible' actually means... 'NOBODY HAS DONE IT SO FAR'
