Is it necessary to bounce JVMs when chging code table values

Post by bobyon »

We are using IBM's MDM. We have been told that anytime we change the data contained in the code tables (CDADMINSYSTP, IDENTSOURCETP, etc.) that we must bounce the JVMs to make that new data visible.

That seems very unusual to me though I am not at all familiar with Java and JVMs. Is there any way to refresh that data without having to take the JVMs down and back up.

We are fast becoming a 24 hour operation and finding a window of time when we can bounce this is getting more and more difficult.

Thanks
Bob
