Formally known as "Mercator Inside Integrator 6.7", DataStage TX enables high-volume, complex transactions without the need for additional coding.

What Version Is The Current?

Post by himerius »

Hi.
This is another of my: Which version is current questions.
And the reason im asking, is because talking to ibm takes weeks. And the answer is never what I want.

My mapdesigner is 8.0(124)
I downloaded some patches including the new launcher. And I discovered that the commandserver there is version 8.1(37)
I've never seen mapedit and commandserver with different version numbers before. So question is: Is there a 8.1(37) map designer out there. If not, should I use the 8.0(124) ?
:?: Hlap im comfused :?:

That is the version I have for command server but not design studio..

WebSphere Transformation Extender with Launcher 8.1.0.3 Windows Multilingual(C16ANML) is all I can find, and that does not include a update of the mapedit.

Windows versions.

Design studio is C16APML
Docs is C16C4ML

If you can't see them in passport advantage download area then IBM doesn't think you are entitled to them.

Progress, got IBM to admit that Design Studio was not available to download. But, they havent given me access yet.
I saw that launcher was 8.2, so I guess that Design Studio also is 8.2 now?

8.2 was released end of Dec but it looks very different, needs a fix pack to get it to work and seems to be full of bugs.

I saw there was some visual thingy with the "where used" is there any possibility to have also a visual display on the 1-to-1 mapping of fields?

Interim fix ?!!

Does this mean that they might have to fix it again?

Reminds one of where the name FIAT comes from: "Fix It Again, Tony".
