Job Parameter File.

Hope that in future IBM works on enabling DS to read parameters from a file rather.

There are alternatives for the same, but still it should provide thsi functionality.

In the available release also you can read the parameter from the config file using the batch job subroutine. yes there is no direct functionality available in data stage current releases for direct reading.

Even if they did, you'd complain that you don't like the format of the parameter file they would require you to use. My guess is that this is one of the reasons the functionality is not available "out of the box".
