Someone doing an evaluation

Howdy, all.

I just subscribed (Im an informix-mv subscriber, 17 years of Pick/Universe/Unidata), because I ran into someone yesterday who is evaluating data warehousing solutions. Hes interested in hearing from people who are not affiliated with Informix/Ascential, who would like to answer some questions, share impressions, and generally provide him with information he can use to compare Datastage with other solutions like Informatica. We have both Oracle and Universe here, and both are relatively large databases; somewhere between 3-4 Terabytes, as a guesstimate.

I wont be involved in the evaluation. You can reply directly to me, and Ill pass your email to him (he may contact you unless you ask that he doesnt), or feel free to post here & Ill forward it to him, if you think your comments will have general, public value.
