Error while exporting from prod- using IBMifn Server Manager

Post by Vrisha »

I have a role as super operator. When I use IBM information server manager console to export 40 jobs from Prod - it failed with a message

Failed - Error exporting design time data: Datastage user role is invalid for exporting Datastage objects

But I am able to do from TEST to DEV. Do I have some other role inorder to export from Prod?

Please let me know

Is PROD a protected project?

I guess you should also check whether you actually do have the Super Operator role in the PROD project.

Yes, Ray. Prod is a protected project and I checked I am having 'Datastage and Quality Stage Super Operator' permissions.

Do I need to have a production manager permission , Ray?

You will need Production Manager permission because it is a Protected project.

You could, of course, temporarily remove the Protected status, but you need Production Manager role to make that change, so nothing would be gained.
