DataStage® Release: 11x
Job Type: Parallel
OS: Unix
Additional info: Data Stage 11.5
Hi everybody.

Datastage here is installed in a cluster where is not permitted to install Oracle client, so we are using ODBC Connector to read and write at Exadata database.

Sometimes Insert and Update works fine, but the majority of times, the following error occurs (talking about 1.000 registers only):

ODBC function "SQLExecute" reported: SQLSTATE = HY000: Native Error Code = 1,950: Msg = [IBM(DataDirect OEM)][ODBC Oracle Wire Protocol driver][Oracle]ORA-01950: no privileges on tablespace 'TS_BASECONSUMO' (CC_OdbcDBStatement::executeInsert, file CC_OdbcDBStatement.cpp, line 731)

I reported to DBA Oracle and he run the command behind to solve:

SQL> alter user hadoopetl quota unlimited on TS_BASECONSUMO;

User altered.

The Exadata user is 'hadoopetl'.
Unfortunately the abort still happens.

Any suggestions? Any implicit reason that I cant realize?

Best regards,

You need to grant that to the Oracle table owner and it sounds like they may have granted that to the user doing the inserts? Hard for me to tell.

Ma Gosh, you are completely right.
It makes all sense.

Now it works ...
The action was right, but to the wrong user.

Thank you so much!!!

You're welcome. A bit surprised your DBA did not handle that correctly. Confused
