DataStage® Release: 11x
Job Type: Parallel
OS: Unix
We noticed that the "ODBC connector" just disappeared suddenly in IMAM. All the existing connections through IMAM are broken, and not able to establish any new connections. Only ODBC Connector is gone and I can see everything else.

Have anyone experienced such issues before? I pretty much checked all places that needs to be checked, and there doesn't seems to be any issues, not sure if am missing something.

Please advise.

Are you pointing at the correct metadata interchange server (the one on which the Connectors are installed, that is the engine tier)?

I have not heard of that issue before. You might try pouring through the SystemOut.log file for clues.

It is resolved now. We had duplicate host created and some of the connectors were moved to duplicate hosts. We had to clean-up all duplicate host and recreate the connectors in original designated metadata interchange servers.

That could have been a nightmare to diagnose if "they" had not informed you about creating duplicate hosts!

Yes Ray, it was. It took several days to figure this out.
