DataStage® Release: 11x
Job Type: Parallel
OS: Unix
Hi Ernie,

I tried Unstructured Stage and pushed the metadata to IGC via Shared Table Creationg Wizard. all fine till here. Do i need to use same Unstructured file Stage to create Job and see the Lineage? If yes, I did it but couldn't see any columns in Unstructured Stage in Job lineage. I guess we need to bound the connection?

The Unstructured Stage does not perform any kind of automated lineage. Too many variables. What most sites do is connect the Unstructured Stage to a table or to a data file that they have create ...

Thanks Ernie,

I have done it and see the lineage It shows the lineage from table to Job but it couldn't show us the columns in any Stages.
Table which i have created using shared table metadata(From Designer to IMAM). I bound to Stage before i run the Job.

Spreadsheets don't have any inherent "metadata" as far as the parsing of its rows and columns are concerned, so you will have to make that connection yourself if you desire lineage to the column level ...

Thanks Ernie,

I have created Extension mapping document by mapping Columns from table and Columns from Stage.

It is still showing the same way.

I checked in Monitor lineage window where Lineage Service Status is Failed for this Job.

i am going dig into it and will see what would be the problem.
