Have you misconfigured the connection? That "server name" looks like a port number to me.

Thanks for the reply Ray. No, the connection is working. I believe the "error message" is actually two messages concatenated: "ds_udtopen() - Unable to connect to server" and "39204 - UDT error".

I suspect the "39204" is a UniData error code. For example, if I search the Rocket (U2/UniData/UniVerse) knowlegebase for "39204", it returns this as one the many UniObjects error codes: "39204 The slave failed to start correctly".

Please note as per product installation documentation that the minimum AIX maxuproc value must be "1000 or unlimited."
