Heres my wish list.

1. Consistency control, integrity checks
Part and parcel of the tool itself. Let the tool take care of this and phasing (Ab Initio) could help to a large extent.

2. Phasing of components
Ab Initio can teach something here.

3. Transparent lookups
Informatica can teach something here. Writing to hash files required a full fledged coding and a tiresome job. Another worry is to know when was the hash file last refreshed.

More to come. Shall add to the list sometime later.

For the uninitiated, can you explain what a "transparent" lookup would be? I'm also curious what you meant by "Writing to hash files required a full fledged coding and a tiresome job".
