Special characters probelm

Hi,
We have file with Chine characters and other special characters, Profile stage is not able to profile that file and it's throwing error like "contact technical suport error 98" like that.

We tried giving data type as NVarachar, it's reading that kid of Data types.

Any one who is having some knowledge how to handle multybite characters in profile stage, Pls help us

am quite sure its issue bcoz of NLS(National language Support) charcter set.
Please check your NLS SETTINGS WHEN YOU INSTALL INFORMATION SERVER OR DATASTAGE, if you using languge other then english then you have to enable this NLS charcter SET but if you are using english charcter then you must disable this NLS setting.

I am facing this problem with profile stage not with Datastage, Pls let me know if any one has little experince on this kind multybite characters handling in profile stage.

If you are working on "information server" version 8 then its suite so there is no question to install profile stage separately.
Its "installation issue"
Try to change your NLS or code page settings.

We are not using information analyser version 8, We are working with profile stage in Unix environment and trying to profile sequential file..

Pls help us
