Example Maps

Hi,
I am new to Datastage TX and started learning it.
Can any one please explain me how to create a simple map with an example?

I have a simple flat file consisting of employee ID and name, I now want to read data from this flat file and i need to write the data to another flat file using TX. I can easily do this in server edition, and i am feeling it very difficult to do this simple job in TX.

Please help me out in doing this.

Best to go on a course first or read the tutorial manuals.

I second this. I can do what you want with 10x the fields in around 5 minutes. Create type tree, open map designer, point input card/output cards to type tree, map, look at data, send rep money.
