Post by Ultramundane »

I get this error message during the upgrade of 751A to 752 on AIX 5.3 ML 4. (I have opened a case with IBM).
Preparing to install and configure projects
An error has occurred during DataStage initialization
Please contact the system administrator
Error code: 2 2

Warning: command 'uvsh LONGNAMES ON NEWACC' returned (1).
I saw a few other posts but I could not find a resolution.

Confirmed. Datastage install/upgrade does not work properly for certain values of PS1.

From memory that's PS1 values that contain a newline character. Is that so? What response did you get when you reported this previously?

You've got it nailed. Unfortunately, I have not received more information on the previous issue.

IBM created an Ecase (21142) about 4 years ago to fix this issue.
