functionality question

I have a functionality question concerning how DataStage can be used. We would like to determine if DataStage could be used to determine data changes over time. The idea is as we attempt to extract data, time will pass between extracts of the same data set. Would using DataStage to determine what has changed between 2 extracts be a good usage of the tool?

Yes, there are several strategies available.
Difference, Compare and Change Capture stages spring immediately to mind.
