AscentialWorld 2005 has been renamed to IBM Information Integration Live! That's their exclamation mark, not mine. I guess they are trying to make it seem like American Idol. It's Live! On Stage! There is nothing more exciting in the world then watching information integration Live! Look at that data move!

Boring and forgettable name but an appropriate acronym.

On the plus side the conference has been extended an extra half day, sessions are longer going to 60 or 90 minutes for more in depth discussion, product demos have been moved into the partner pavilion instead of being in a seperate room and there are more training options following the conference. Looks like Serrano will be playing a big part, the non-Ascential part of the Information Integration suite.

I didn't see any mention of training/certification sessions...

Mayhap DCS could offer a "transition from server to parallel" session?

There are 50+ training sessions on offer, either during or after the conference (session details are not available yet). There are also plenty of opportunities to use the Hawk and Serrano software in the partner pavilion. No mention anywhere about certification.

So, if session details aren't available, could one be buying a pig in a poke?
