can anybody suggest good material or source for knowledge on routines and subroutines.

The best source is the authoratitive source, the DataStage BASIC manual and the on-line help.

Hi i am also looking for same type of material for Routines and Before and After Subroutines .

1. Server jobs
2. Parellel jobs ( Enterprise Edition)
3. Mainframes jobs.( MVS Jobs)

You already have the material if you have these installed on your system.
Checking the built in Routines and Before and After Subroutines would be a good start.

I give a lot of routines away on my tips page and the Tools4DataStage link below.
