Performance comparison b/n DataSet and Sequential File

Hi,

I need to get a comparative analysis of the performance for jobs using DataSet stages to those using Sequential Files ( for similar set of conditions - viz, defined server, processors, data size etc).

Essentially quantitative facts are needed for this purpose as well.
Metrices available if any citing the difference in performance would also help.

Pls reply with pointers/ details if any ASAP.

Do you want to put any constraints on responses? For example, if you have an eight CPU configuration, then a response from a 32 CPU configuration would not be particularly useful to you; scalability is nearly linear, but not exactly. Are you talking about a single SMP system, or an MPP cluster?
