Using code in job control in combination with stages

Post by admin »

Hi All,

I've been using jobs with no stages at all and only code in the job control.
Is it possible to use code aside stages and how does DataStage uses this? Is
it for instance possible tot define input (rows of data) that is defined in
the code and has to be written in a sequential file?

Thanks,

Wim van Dommelen.

Using code in job control in combination with stages

Post by admin »

Hi Wim,

First the control code is executed and then, when finnished, the stages.

Yes you can file a sequential Stage in control code and then use it in a
Stage.

I've done it already years ago an the jobs still work without problems.

Wolfgang
