Configuration Files

Post by rajeev_prabhuat »

Hi,

For Datastage 7.x where is the configuration files stored and how many configuration fles are there. We have a Development DS Server in which we have developed our jobs, since we have to put this to production we have installed the DS server in different machine. Is it necessary to set the same set of DS SErver settings as in development, when you setup another Production DS SErver, if so how do you do it. Is there anything else that we have to take care when you do such shift.

HI Rajeev,

You can configure through DSManager--->Tools--->Configure, then comming to sending your jobs to production...I suggest you to use version control which is useful in Integrating the jobs from different developers and helps in sending it to production at a time.
