batch command in Px

Post by adityaram »

Hello,
When we issue a batch command on our jobs, how does it look at the command prompt? I have run a lot of batch commands for sorting plain text files. Now that this tool is available how do we do it in Px?
Thanks to all replies in advance.

The dsjob command can be used to start almost any kind of DataStage job; server, parallel or job sequence (not mainframe) from the command line (and therefore from a shell script/BAT file).

You can also manufacture a batch within DataStage in three different ways:
  • by creating a batch in Director
    by creating a Job Sequence
by writing a job control routine in a server job
