few accented characters not appearing on Prod environment

The Brazilian accented characters are loaded correctly in lower environment but facing few issues with the Production box. Some of the accented characters are not appearing at all in Prod.
We have encoded using "ISO-8859-15" in lower environments in DataStage and it is all working fine. We have been told to use different encoding logics such as UTF 8 etc., but the question here is if it can run in one environment, it should run in all environments, right.
What would be the possible environment changes which you can foresee? Please share your valuable thoughts.
