Welcome Aboard,
There are many things which should be taken in consideration for server sizing. Such as data volumes to be processed which you have mentioned but at the same time you may need if there is any SLA attached to the processing such as it should finish in 2 hrs? Also the complexity of rules and transformation required may change the sizing. There are some additional aspects as well.
Hire a expert to do that for you.
For starter, 35 GB is not huge data if it needs to be processed over 24 hours of time. but it depends on the source, target, complexity etc

Budget is also a factor. PVU costs need to go into the planning of your environment.
I am assuming that you are a small shop given the 35GB comments.
Cost of tool, SLA timeframe, ease of support and maintenance, etc... all have to be factored in.
Future environment growth also needs to be considered.
