dsrecord command

Post by Poovalingam »

Hi,
Do we need to set apt_config_file variable value to the exact apt file what we used for creating data set while using dsrecords command.

For example, I have a created a ds using 4 node file 4node.apt. Then, Will it work If I do export APT_CONFIG_FILE=2node.apt and trying dsrecords -n? Actually it is working for me. Kindly advise.

Thanks,
Poovalingam.

There is no documented answer to that question. Presumably, from the behaviour you describe, dsrecords command uses the configuration file stored within the Data Set descriptor file (and, hopefully, throws a warning if any node is inaccessible at time of execution).
