unix like back quote function in datastage

Hi ,

I have a situation where i keep UpCase(String) in a table and get that value using script in datastage uservariable activity.But when i get that value in datastage it should give me the String value only instead of UpCase(String).

Is there any way we can acheive this in datastage.

I am not sure what you are asking. Can you provide some example?

Please post the exact syntax you are using in your user variable stage please.
