Could not open transformer in 11.3

Post by spuli »

Hi All,

Datastage 11.3 client is installed on Windows 7 enterprise edition desktop. It is a 32-bit OS. I am trying to open transformer inside a job and it is not showing up :(

I am trying to open director client. It is throwing the below error.

Run-time error '339':
Component 'MSCOMCTL.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered. a file is missing or invalid.

Please help!
Thanks,
Sai

Is that O/S supported for the client? If so, I'd try reinstalling the client.

you may need to re-register the OCX mentioned in the error. Else do a clean install after un-installing and deleting the relevant registry entries.

You can refer the step (not for the same issue) here

Please review the System Requirements.

The 11.3 and higher clients are only supported on 64-bit editions of Windows. They normally error during the install if a 32-bit OS is detected and will not proceed to install, at least that's what originally happened to us; not sure how you got past that...

I have registered Component 'MSCOMCTL.OCX' by downloading it from internet and all set.

Thank you all for your inputs.
