Change default value of attribute in oracle stage

Does any one know if it's possible to change default values of attribute in datastage stage -> I want to change the default value of the sql before statement in oracle stage
In the client when I logged in with admin - the stage open in read-only mode

could you please be more specific

are you asking about oracle stage before/after statement? Is your project is in protected mode? r u loged in with prod manager profile?

Can you pls check weather u have selected "Run Before and after SQL statements" to YES. or somebody else might have opened the job???
