clarification on APT_TSORT_STRESS_BLOCKSIZE

Post by Akumar1 »

Hi All,

APT_TSORT_STRESS_BLOCKSIZE environment variable can be used only when you have a sort stage used in your job design with restrict memory option selected.

Is this right?

Thank you very much in adv for your reply on this.

This Environmental variable is used to restrict the Physical memory usage of Tsort operator. Given in MB.
Beyond which, data will be written into scratch disk.
Not just Sort stage, but inline sort will also be affected by this Variable.

This is not right.

APT_TSORT_STRESS_BLOCKSIZE affects all three kinds of sort.
