Unable to run parallel jobs

Post by Nic »

We have just installed version 7.5.2 on Windows 2003 and the server jobs run fine but when running parallel jobs we get the error message: "This jobtype is not currently runnable on this platform".
(We have installed the Visual .Net C++ compiler)

Could someone point us to the right direction please.

I am not sure but i think only 7.5x2 and 8.0 are the only datastage versions which supports PX jobs windows server.
I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work.

Is it almost finished downloading?
Giving access to the group datastage users on the server is done on the tab ' permissions' when you select the properties of the map ' c:\ascential\datastage'.

Sorry Roy, I just noticed this post. The download took 2 hours and I had to reinstall all the client machines (11 of them) as well but it worked fine in the end. I noticed there are a number of bugs in it though but it does the job for now (we are not using it for development just training). So thanks again for your prompt response.

Hari - please use real English in your posts, we prefer not to speak SMS.

You need a different version and that can only be procured from IBM or official provider. A straight download, even if available, won't have the requisite license key. There might be warez sites out there with this version, but nobody here will endorse that.
