We have recently migrated from 8.7 to 11.5 and are facing issues with the hierarchical stage, not able to open the assembly editor using edit assembly.

Kindly help me here.

Error : Object Reference not set to instance of object.

Hard to say.... see if it happens on all of your workstations, and check that you may need to install Flash if it isn't already there. I would also consider re-installing the client, or at least trying to install it on another machine.
