Accidentally lost dsjob exec

Post by pavankvk »

Hi,

while working with dsjob, we kind of accidentally messed up. the bottom line is we dont have a dsjob executable in the bin directory. is there a way to retrieve it from the is-suite directory and copy it over to bin directory

Not quite sure what you are 'testing'... is this resolved? Somehow I don't think so.

FYI - I moved your post here which is the proper place to discuss the issue. I removed the copy you put back in the other forum.

Sorry i didn't realize that its moved. Its not resolved yet. we have a PMR with IBM, still waiting for response.

Is dsjob available somewhere in is-suite?

Copy it from your other installation. DEV/TEST/PROD.

Otherwise if you have the original path where you installed datastage from, you can search for dsjob under the is-suite path.

Another option is to ask your Unix admin if the company has a file restore process set up on the host/mount.
