designer not show jobs

Post by factorit »

this is the problem, the architecture is the following:
1 was server
1 db server (oracle 10g)
2 engines server (engine1 and engine2)

all jobs and proyect was migrated form engine 1 to engine2.
engine1 was turned off
jobs on engine2 are not visible, but when execute "./dsjob -lprojects" the list of jobs are showed.

in the client side, we modify host file in windows in this way:

xx.xx.xx.10 engine1
xx.xx.xx.10 engine2

and we can access to engine1 proyects (remember, this engines have the same proyects and jobs, but ARE NOT THE SAME PHYSICAL SERVER), but when try to see te jobs on the proyect, the list of jobs are showed.

now the questions is... WTF happen on the xmeta?.

cheers :D

Can you see the jobs in Director connected to engine2?

If yes you probably need to synchronize the project on engine2. Use the syncproject command.

thanks for all the response.
the jobs are not listed in the engine2(hostname, remember is only 1 physical server) whe try to open with designer or director.

the proyect was migrated in dsx format, exported from engine1 and imported on engine2.

When you created the .dsx file you have a couple of options, including "Export job executableswithout designs"; which is what I suspect was done.
