does datastage install logs shows whether -force command

while installing DataStage base version /fp /Patch if we use -force command will it show up in install logs ?

Where can we see whether force option is used while installing or not ?
This is more like generic question .

Not sure if logs will show that. Did you try it and look at the logs?

You may also look in the ~/.sh_history of the user who would have run the command to see how they ran it.

I still dont have access to those logs . I will post here once I take a look.

in user history may be I should be able to try that .

I will keep you posted.

You should have read access to the install log. The product should have been installed by root with umask 002.
