Teradata Conn Stage - Designer Crashes while editing TDCon

Post by senthilt1 »

Hi Team,

I am having the Datastage Client V 9.1.2.b installed on my machine Windows 7.

While editing the properties of teradata connector stage, particularly on the Error Table properties, Designer crashes and am not able to edit that. I tried editing the stage from already existing jobs still having the issue.

Kindly help me on this issue.

Thanks,

Senthil

Other than verifying that you have the same release level of client and server side code, you should open a ticket with your support folks.

I checked the server version under /bin/uv, its Datastage 9.1.0
But my client version is 9.1.2b

Would that create this TD Connector Issue?

Quite possibly.

They should always be synchronized.

I have seen such behaviour when I was on Fix pack 8.5.1 and server was without fix pack, and oracle connectors reject link was not getting any column and the job was failing to compile. So you never know what surprises you may find if server and client are not synchronized.

We have the same issue when coping long variables in the error table element in version 9.1.2 both the engine and the client are on the same version but if you enter the variable directly in it works fine

there is a patch for 9.0 and 9.1.01 Good afternoon,

I was able to reproduce the issue and I found a patch:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.w ... wg1JR47119

but the patch is currently only available for 9.1 and 9.1.0.1 and your
client version.xml shows you are on 9.1.2.

I am requesting a 9.1.2 build of the patch from engineering. I will
keep you posted once I hear back from them

BTW: Always look at the Version.XML file, not the bin/uv
