Fixpack Regression Testing
Hi, just a generic question. When applying a DataSage fixpack is full regression testing warranted after the patch is applied?
Depends how much money your company risks by NOT testing their jobs.
Fix packs will vary in content (as can be expected). Some fixes do change the nature of stages and can cause executions to either fail (hopefully) or provide a different result set based upon "fixed" behavior of stages (how will you notice of you don't test). Listening for screams of Prod customers downstream is A method, but not a very good one.
So the generic answer to you is. Depends.
