Ports used for BW.

Post by Abhijeet1980 »

Friends and Seniors,

Does anybody have an idea about the ports used while conversing with SAP BW?

Should that change assuming SAP BW is replaced SAP Netweaver BI 7.3 ?

Any information in this regard is appreciated.

Thanks and many regards,

Cheers!

I doubt what you say Chanaka.

Netstat-a shows me ports (ranging from 1011-1055) connected to SAP BW server.

I just checked my /etc/hosts file and it is defined in that range only. Can someone else confirm?

Thanks Chanaka, Krishna.

May I know where are they defined in BW environment. I do not have much idea. I am more keen in knowing whether the communication from DataStage 8.1 to and fro is not blocked by the firewall.

Do you think opening these port ranges be sufficient ??

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,
