need advices to pass job from PX to server

Post by kjaouhari »

Hello all !

We want to pass a job from PX to server, and we don't have PX.
The only thing I have is the dsx and a little document about it.

And I check I can open some jobs in server but not all.

So do I need to redevelopp all jobs or just the job I can't open ?

Thanks !

IMHO, you need to develop all the jobs as stages are very different for the two engines.
Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.

Why are you unable to open -some- jobs ? And ofcourse you need to re-develop the jobs (As nodes and partitioning comes into play in PX)

the jobs I can't open are the jobs with px stage (like look up, ...)

So I will develop all jobs.

Good for employment !

Thanks

If I read the original question correctly, you have a DataStage export (DSX) file containing both parallel and server jobs, but you only have server edition installed.

If that's the case you will not be able to open the parallel jobs.
