WLM logs

Our system is accumulating a lot of WLM logs (in $DSHOME/../DSWLM/logs). Is there any auto-purge setting for these?
They seem to be ordinary text files. Presumably it is safe to delete them from the operating system level. Can someone please confirm this, and whether there is any value in keeping them (even if archived)?
